Our team is comprised of quantitative and qualitative researchers, analysts, and industry practitioners from Oxford and beyond. They use a variety of mixed-methods approaches including natural language processing (NLP), machine learning, OSINT data collection, survey experiments, and fieldwork interviews. Linguistically, the team can offer analysis, monitoring, and translation in Farsi, Arabic, Hebrew, French, Spanish, English

The OxDEL is a research network for researchers, academics, practitioners, and graduate students working on disinformation, extremism, and online harms.

Bringing together researchers from Oxford and beyond, the OxDEL hub helps to facilitate collaboration and connection for a diverse group of experts. Our mission is to produce leading academic research, policy recommendations, training for early career researchers, conferences and workshops, as well as an inclusive and supportive community for all lab members.

Join our Team

The Oxford Disinformation and Extremism Lab occasionally accepts applications to join the committee. Currently we are not accepting new application but please check back in the future. To join the Operating Team and our Board of Advisors, please email completed applications to us at oxdisinformationextremismlab@gmail.com. Applications to join either the operating team or the board of advisors should include a statement of purpose, a research or coding portfolio, and a CV. All of our committee members are volunteers. Please specify why you are interested in joining the team, along with your time commitments and ongoing projects.

 

New applications will be reviewed for experience, commitment, and skills. The OxDEL welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, including all ethnic, religious, gender, and socio-economic backgrounds.
